At the age of 8, Helga Gu\u00f0n\u00fd started studying cello at Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur's Music School and was a student there for the longest time with Brynd\u00eds Bj\u00f6rgvinsd\u00f3ttir. In 2022, she started studying at the Iceland Academy of the Arts under the guidance of Sigur\u00f0ar Bjarka Gunnarsson. <\/p>\n\n\n\n


Along with the cello studies, Helga has sung in quite a few choirs, including the Hamrahl\u00ed\u00f0ar choir and the chamber choir Huldi, and has participated in numerous choir projects in Iceland and abroad. Helga has also performed as a cellist both in the field of classical music and popular music. <\/p>\n\n\n\n


For the last three years, Helga has been a summer employee in Drafnarh\u00fas, day training for people with dementia, where she has used her musical skills a lot. In the work, the idea for her final thesis came about, but she wrote about the use of music in service resources for people with dementia and the importance of having a good background in music and guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Since January, Helga has worked as a substitute teacher at Sigursvein's Music School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
