    The process started with a study of the photographic work Venus by Harpa \u00de\u00f3rsd\u00f3ttir, which revolves around distorted women's stereotypes and body image.<\/p>\n

    I drew inspiration from the shadows and surreal forms that characterize the photographic work With the work in mind, I began to study my own body and what distorted ideas about women's bodies have shaped my view of me.<\/p>\n

    I decided to work with leather in the line and began to formulate shapes that I found interesting to my own body The line shows sculpture and irregular shapes joining bodies and consequently showing the new shape of the body.<\/p>\n

    The process started with reaserching the project \u201cVenus\u201d by Harpa \u00de\u00f3rsd\u00f3ttir which focuses on the twisted beauty standards towards women.<\/p>\n

    I drew inspiration from the shadows and surreal properties that are the main focus of the artwork. Keeping the project in mind I started reaserching my own body and what twisted beauty standards towards women have molded my perception of my own body.<\/p>\n

    I decided to work with leather in my project and started creating shapes that interested me based on my own body. My work shows sculptures and irregular shapes fuse with a body and therefore creating a new bodily shape.<\/p>\n
