Rocks and soil defenses stand between us and the forces of nature. Volcanic events and oceans storm surges have long plagued the people of Reykjanes. To live with these extremes we must defend ours. Protective barriers of rocks and soil stand between us and powers of nature. These barriers are a fundamental key in civilisation in Reykjanes. Ocean barriers made of rocks can found everywhere along the coastline of Iceland. Often giving the coastline a disaster and uninviting features. Can these structures function as more than just a defending force against the ocean and act as a key in breeding life to the coastlines can and animals. <\/span><span
