Bilocation Soundwalk: A Cartophony of ‘El Paseo Verd\u00fan<\/strong>
This is a soundwalk through the open space in front of \u2018Kaldal\u00f3n\u2019 in Harpa, where
the cartophony* of a Colombian ecological path (Paseo Verd\u00fan) interweaves with
the sounds of a live Icelandic ensemble in a dual soundscape. Here the kiskadee
and the violin, the blackbird and the flute, the cicada and the trombone, the coqui
frogs and the piano, among others, coexist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visitors are invited to walk through this space, be part of, and listen to it from their desired perspective as if they were wandering around the ecological path in Piedecuesta, Colombia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santiago Rueda Garc\u00eda<\/strong>
Artist, musician, composer and bassist from Bucaramanga, Santander, Colombia. His artistic work focuses on the exploration of sound and its timbral possibilities within the oeuvre. He is also interested in the different roles that sound can
acquire, for example, as a means of expression and as a basis for conforming new narratives.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2020 he was awarded second place in the \u2018Second Composition Contest for string quartet FESTICUARTETOS\u2019, organized by the Q-Arte String Quartet, for his work \u201cReflexiones\u201d. Since 2021, he has been working with the Santander
International Independent Film Festival (SANFICI) scoring short films produced by the festival and filmed by children from Bucaramanga. Santiago has a bachelor\u2019s in music with specialization in composition and arrangements from the \u2018Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Bucaramanga\u2019 (UNAB); a Master of Arts in Composition for Film, TV and, Games from the University of Chichester (United Kingdom) and currently he is finishing his master’s in composition at Listah\u00e1sk\u00f3li \u00cdslands.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\t
