\u00cd <\/span>august<\/span> 2026 <\/span>introduced<\/span> Academy of Arts<\/span> Iceland <\/span>new<\/span> face<\/span> which<\/span> worked<\/span> was in <\/span>partnership<\/span> we<\/span> Karlssonwilker and builder has over two decades of development and history of the school.<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

The rebranding process began in the fall of 2024. the goal was to strengthen and clarify the school's image and coordinate its presentation on different media and<\/span> about <\/span>way<\/span> reflect the diversity of studies, teaching, research and artistic creation at the school.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to Karlssonwilker, graphic designer Dagur Eggertsson and Gunnar Vilhj\u00e1lmsson of Universal Thirst contributed to the project Gunnar Vilhj\u00e1lmsson developed a special font for the school, which is one of the key elements of the face. The font supports LH\u00cd's consistent and recognizable presentation of all media.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

The design studio Karlssonwilker was founded in 2000 by Hjalta Karlsson and Jan Wilker, but they met while working together at Stefan Sagmeister's design studio The studio is based in New York and is known for projects in the field of brand development, experience design, sign and route systems and digital design. Among its clients are the Reykjav\u00edk Art Museum, Bloomberg, Nintendo, The New York Times, Samsung and Vitra. Karlssonwilker has received international recognition for its imaginative and research-driven approach to design.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

During the development of the face, the visual history of Iceland University of the Arts was considered. The school's first logo was designed by Gu\u00f0mund Oddi Magn\u00fasson, a former professor at the school. Red, a filled square was in the foreground and became a characteristic symbol of the school.<\/p>\n
