Andr\u00e9s \u00de\u00f3r \u00deorvar\u00f0arson is a master's student at the art education department of LH\u00cd<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201eI grew up in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur and studied percussion at Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur's Music School\u201c In 2016, I went to study composition at the Iceland University of the Arts and finished in 2019I have been in bands a lot, working as a sound engineer and as a teacher.\u201c <\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Andr\u00e9s subsequently decided to pursue further education and teaching qualifications in the art education department.<\/p>\n

\u201eI went to the program because I felt that I needed certain tools and tools in my teaching. I taught music education for two years in two different elementary schools. It was a very rewarding life experience, but at the same time it was obvious that I needed, as I said, certain tools and tools, says Andr\u00e9s, who has had a good time as a student in the art education department.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201eMy experience with the program is great! It's a very fun program, fun people and fun teachers. I've learned an incredible amount and it was especially fun to go to field studies in elementary school and high school\u201c, Andr\u00e9s says, adding: \u201eAll studies are useful to you in some way every single day\u201c.\u201c <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Andr\u00e9s \u00de\u00f3r is aiming for graduation in June and is currently working on a 30-unit MA research paper.<\/p>\n

\u201eMy final project at the Department of Arts Education is a study of how and what kind of learning takes place in youth bands. \u201c What do they learn from creating their own community, their own rules and deciding their goals, all on their own terms\", says Andr\u00e9s, who will present his final project with other graduates at the art education department's graduation event in May.<\/p>\n

What's next for Andr\u00e9s?<\/p>\n

\u201eFinish this final essay and have a graduation party this spring!\u201c<\/p>\n
