The work St\u00f6ng - (R)interpretation by SP(R)INT STUDIO, which stands Sahar Ghaderi, associate professor and professional director at LH\u00cd, and Karl Kvaran, part-time teacher at the school, has attracted significant attention in the field of contemporary architecture both at home and abroad. The work is based on the delicate intertwining of landscape, historical heritage area and modern design, where the emphasis is on guest experience, sustainability and respect for the historical context of the place.<\/p>\n

This is a design and superstructure of the excavation of antiquities from the settlement period at St\u00f6ng in \u00dej\u00f3rs\u00e1rdal. The project is carried out in collaboration with the architectural firm SP(R)INT STUDIO and the Icelandic Heritage Foundation.<\/p>\n

St\u00f6ng has received extremely positive reviews and received nominations for the 2025 Iceland Design Award, the Dezeen Awards, the Archello Awards and the prestigious Mies van der Rohe Award for outstanding contemporary architecture in Europe. The work was also awarded the 2025 Green Shovel, awarded by Green Settlement for the best reconstruction of the year.<\/p>\n

These nominations and recognitions underline the importance of the project in an international context and are also a clear confirmation of strong and ambitious work within the Iceland Academy of the Arts.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
