Allocation from the LH\u00cd research fund 2025<\/b><\/div>\n
The board of the research fund of the Iceland Academy of the Arts has completed the allocation of grants for 2025. The board of the fund for the working year 2025 -2026 consists of\u00a0Peter J\u00f3nasson<\/b>, Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Music,\u00a0Katr\u00edn Mar\u00eda K\u00e1rad\u00f3ttir<\/b>, professor at the design department, and\u00a0Steinunn Knuts-\u00d6nud\u00f3ttir<\/b>, Doctor of Performing Arts and External Representative The total allocation of the fund amounted to 5 million ISK this time.<\/div>\n
Total received\u00a015 applications<\/b>\u00a0this year, from the school's five departments:<\/div>\n

  • Department of Design<\/b>: 7 applications<\/li>\n
  • Department of Fine Art<\/b>: 2 applications<\/li>\n
  • Department of Music<\/b>: 2 applications<\/li>\n
  • Film Department<\/b>: 2 applications<\/li>\n
  • Department of Arts Education<\/b>: 2 applications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
    The mission of the Foundation is to support the research of permanent academic staff with a research ratio and to promote the development of knowledge in the academic field of art The Academy of Arts conducts a wide range of research, working with a variety of materials, forms and media Strong research work is the basis of knowledge creation, ideological renewal and artistic approach. Respect for different approaches, subjects and representations is served. With this, the Academy of Arts wants to strengthen the research culture of the school and increase the quality of the research that takes place there.<\/div>\n
