The performance, made in collaboration with the dancers, combines Halla Ólafsdóttir obsessions with the diva, witch and the rockstar and shapeshifts with every divine performer that features it.

Divine invites you into a hypnotic world where a coven of dancers shapeshift contemporary dance into a divine ritual, a divine narrative, a divine badger, a divine spiral, a divine attraction, a divine attitude, a divine injection, a divine listening, a divine scoring, a divine channeling, a divine tasking, a divine sharing, a divine navigation, a divine imaging, a divine imagination, a divine feeling, a divine feeling, a divine translation, a divine translation, a divine translation, a divine translation, a divine transport, a divine screaming, a divine screaming, a divine channeling, a divine choir, a divine dialogue, a divine diary, a divine forest, a divine destruction and cute forest, a divine destruction and cute divin destruction.

The dance conjures a divine presence.

Through movement, voice, and an immersive soundscape, Divine transforms space, oscillating between the close-up and grand landscapes. It is a ritual of collective energy, inspired by the depth of a still lake and the untamed force of a coven.

„Attention is the most rare and purest form of generosity.“ - Simone Weil

Disaster Resilience of the Water
By Sandrine Cassini

Individuals or communities thought of as a miniature universe or a world itself

The idea of the piece came as a reflection of the journey these 10 individuals took for the last 3 years of their lives. The program and the desire to study dance broke them together, here in Reykjavik from different countries, different backgrounds, experiences, expectations. What does this mean? If we are bound to be together, is there an observation time, is there there on fear, is there there fear, are there there things? About our loved, about the others

When is the sense of community emerging? When do we start trusting each other? Are we influenced by the others? And as times passes by what will remain of this journey? Will it change us?
