Everyone is free to submit a candidacy that the board of the hinterland will subsequently take a position on. We ask you to let the invitation run among your members.<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div>Availability must be simple: short CV + cover letter (no more than one page). Availability is sent to: <a id=\"LPlnk946592\" href=\"mailto:baklandsstjorn@lhi.is\" data-linkindex=\"0\">baklandsstjorn@lhi.is<\/a> at the latest on September 5th.<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div>Gu\u00f0r\u00fan Bj\u00f6rk Bjarnad\u00f3ttir, managing director of STEF, is now leaving the board of LH\u00cd after six years of sitting there. Other representatives of the hinterland are Karen Mar\u00eda J\u00f3nsd\u00f3ttir, theater scholar and dancer, and Hildur Gunnlaugsd\u00f3ttir, architect.<\/div>\n<div>Deputies:<\/div>\n<div>J\u00f3hann G. J\u00f3hannsson, actor<\/div>\n<div>Please note that when handling candidacies, the board of the hinterland is obliged to take into account the company's laws, more specifically:<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div>\u2022 The Board of the Bakland annually elects from the submitted candidates one main member and one deputy to the LH\u00cd board for a three-year term. The majority of votes cast is decisive. If there are a tie, the chairman of the Bakland will hold an odd vote. A board member of the LH\u00cd board can serve a maximum of two consecutive terms.<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 When deciding on representatives on the board of LH\u00cd, it must be held in high regard that said representatives must be active and\/or recognized artists of the MEDIA and\/or academics in the professional fields of LH\u00cd. Managers of cultural institutions and business life are also eligible to sit on the board of LH\u00cd.<\/div>\n<div><b>\u2022 When deciding on a representative for a board seat in LH\u00cd, the Bakland's board must take care of the professional balance between disciplines in accordance with the goals and needs of LH\u00cd at any given time.<\/b><\/div>\n<div>\u2022 Permanent employees, LH\u00cd students and those who have financial interests, cf. LH\u00cd charter and the rules of procedure of the LH\u00cd board do not have the opportunity to sit on the LH\u00cd board.<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div>To maintain a professional balance, we would like to remind you that current representatives have expertise in the field of architecture and design, on the one hand, and performing arts, on the other.
