It is four grant types; outstanding, project, research position and doctoral student grants, for up to 36 months. This time, two projects received funding where LH\u00cd employees are among the leading researchers. On the one hand, it is an outstanding grant of 150 million that will be hosted at the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Helsinki, where Gu\u00f0bj\u00f6rg R. J\u00f3hannesd\u00f3ttir, associate professor at the Faculty of Art Education and Krist\u00edn Valsd\u00f3ttir, president of the Faculty of Art Education, play the roles of project manager and principal researchers together with Sigr\u00ed\u00f0i \u00deorgeirsd\u00f3ttir and Birni \u00deorsteinsson, professors of philosophy at the University of Music, but the project manager and main researcher is Daphj\u00f6rg Hallh\u00e6\u00f0i, professor at the Faculty of Music.<br \/>\n\u00deorbj\u00f6rg Daphne Hall, professor in the department of music, leads a project grant for 36 months:<\/p>\n<p><em>Building bridges through collaboration: MetamorPhonics as an approach to socially engaged music making<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In the abstract of the application, the project is described as follows:<\/p>\n<p>\u201eThere are a variety of community-based music projects that work with diverse groups and communities, for example individuals in custody or clients of health institutions, individuals of different ages, with diverse skills and backgrounds\u201c These projects reflect the philosophy that music and music practice can have a positive impact on people and even change their lives for the better The main goals of this project are to study MetamorPhonics (MP) which is an example of a community-based music project. The purpose is to understand the various aspects of MP, including the background and motivation of the participants, the philosophy and guiding principles of MP and compare them with other community-based music projects. The project will also examine the pedagogical approach of MP and specifically examine how artistic management and decision-making takes place. It will also analyze how the background of participants affects musical approaches and whether it has any lasting impact on band members and their lives outside of the project. The project also focuses on research results, which focus on research centers and research projects.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>In addition to \u00deorbjargar, Sigr\u00fan S\u00e6varsd\u00f3ttir-Griffiths, musician, teacher at the Guildhall School and director of MetamorPhonics, Anna Hildur Hildibrandsd\u00f3ttir, lecturer at the University of Bifr\u00f6st and filmmaker, Lee Higgins, professor at York St John University and director of the International Center for Community Music, and Jo Gibson, researcher at York St John University. The project will take place in Iceland and the UK. Research results will be communicated through academic articles, a website in Icelandic and English, a documentary and a series of workshops, concerts and lectures.<\/p>\n<p>Of the Research Fund's grant categories, the category of project grants is that This time, 30 project grants were awarded, three of which were in the field of humanities and art.<\/p>\n<p>Sigr\u00ed\u00f0ur \u00deorgeirsd\u00f3ttir, professor of philosophy at UI, Gu\u00f0bj\u00f6rg R.
