\u00cdvar Valgar\u00f0sson will discuss the exhibition <em>Ocean\/Ocean <\/em>which was set up in Reykjanesb\u00e6r Art Museum in 2025 as well as other exhibitions The exhibition \u00dathaf was specially created for Reykjanesb\u00e6r Art Museum, but the trigger for the work has begun that surrounds Reykjanesb\u00e6r and the effect of light and weather on its shades. \u00cdvar emphasizes simplicity, clean material and the direct experience of the viewer, which is manifested in the way photographs and paintings are presented as one spatial unit. \u00cdvar's works rest on the legacy of concept art and minimalism and ask pressing ontological questions about the nature of art and the material world.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t<div \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"col-lg-6\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Ivar Valgar\u00f0sson<\/strong> (b. 1954) has been a working visual artist since the 1970s He studied at Iceland's School of Art and Handicrafts 1971 - 1975 and later in the Netherlands, where he developed the ideological approach that has characterized his career. \u00cdvar works primarily with installations and photographs and video, where he studies the nature of objects, time, materiality and perception.
