The competition is open to all music students at university level, regardless of which school they attend. It is safe to say that those who perform here are the future of Icelandic music and it is exciting to watch them take their first steps professionally.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">The conductor of the concert is the Georgian Mirian Khukhunaishvili, who completed his doctoral studies in conducting from the Academy of Music in Cracow, Poland in 2020. in recent years, Khukhunaishvili has won one conductor's competition after another.
