Styttubönd are a kind of belt that women used to tie around themselves to shorten their skirts. These bands were long and decorated with text in the form of poetry that was woven in a single line along the band.

I developed a fascination with these bands, especially their proportions, as they led me to consider other long and thin objects in our daily environment that carry certain messages.

This line of inquiry made me think more broadly about how information is communicated in our contemporary world. The result of my research is a 9- meter book, in which I observe long messages from various perspectives.
