Imagine a piece of time, you hold one end of it between the thumb and index finger of your left hand.

With your right hand, you slide your fingers from one end of the rope, which you already hold in your left hand, to the other end. You pull the rope tightly, it is exactly the length of your arm, the middle strung across your chest. You fold the rope in half, then you fold the other half in half. The rope is still as long as it has always been, but now you can see the slack in the rope. There is some metaphor there, you don't know what it means but you will know when you do. The ropes change shape, loosen and tighten, becoming knots that can later be untied. You hold this image in your mind as you string the rope back across your chest. Many things are true at the same time.

You think you know a song when you've heard a quarter of it, you can imagine the ways the melody could end, and then you wait, preferably in anticipation.

“25%” is a group exhibition of first-year master's students in fine arts, where students show new works they have worked on during the fall semester of 2025. This is the thirteenth edition of the Ignition Threads exhibition series, which is shown annually at the end of the first semester.
