In the landscape of history, possibilities of the future lie hidden. In a near untouched and undeveloped area at the heart of Iceland‘s most fertile region, Kaldaðarnes stands empty and abandoned.

The remnants of former societies lie beneath the surface, forgotten ruins, traces of history. On the foundation of these long lost structures, Kaldaðarnes Folk school rises. A centre for international students to seek and share knowledge on sustainability and ecology.

With proper utilisation of Iceland's natural resources, the nation could become sustainable in the years to come. But how can we utilise the untouched nature of a place while still enjoying its natural beauty? How can the remnants of history help us build a society for the future?
