footprint
a process of cohabitation

This study examines the concept of home within the historical context of Hvalfjörður. Whilst being critical of past resolutions and their premises, it asks whether and what can be learned from the steps taken that amount to decades of unsustainable development. Stating that inaction no longer equates with neutrality, the project reflects on the process of cohabitation as a step forward, examining ways of living with one another. It explores how we live together with the earth and its ecosystems – ultimately raising the question of who makes decisions about the future of Hvalfjörður and on what grounds; in whose favour, at whose expense?
