multimedia sculpture

found objects including a hand crank, gearbox, wood, chicken wire, screws and bolts

Stuck in history, the air siren exhibits an eerie method of communication in times of disaster. What is left is a ghost machine, shrouded in our subconscious from globalized trauma.

The machine smells of engine oil.

The gears turn the wheel which persistently draws in air and cuts it into echoes.

As the hum declines the obsolete device becomes useless and rusty being exposed to the climate. Barely delaying its own inevitable collapse.

This art piece is interactable. Feel free to turn the hand crank.
