Over the past of Hvítanes looms a certain unrest, which is reflected in the ruins and  wounds in the landscape after WWII. Soldiers stayed at Hvítanes to defend themselves against enemy ships and submarines from the depths of the ocean. In a way, depression, stress and anxiety is an enemy of many people, dragging them deep down into the darkness. In a new ecovillage at Hvítanes, these individuals have the opportunity to stay for a while and fight those internal enemies, and to reconcile with their past to be able to step back to their everyday lives. New structures will confront the footprints from the past and become a metaphor.
