Room Tour

We see a pink, heart-shaped mirror, a cowboy hat with glitter  and a tiny fridge covered in stickers. Furniture and small objects, mostly made from plastic. The relationship between the teenage girl and the plastic is complicated. She wants to be a responsible consumer, but at the same time she wants to fit in. She’s fifteen and doesn’t eat fish because she doesn’t want to eat the plastic. In the work, 3D replicas of plastic objects from teenage girls are arranged into still life images. The result gives an idea of consumption, origin and value – and at the same time the tug-of-war between all of that and today’s eco-anxiety.

„Hi guys, I’m doing an updated room tour, literally no one asked for this, but I just felt it’s needed.“
