Elín Margot is a designer/artist currently located in Reykjavík, Iceland.

 

She graduated from a BA in product design at the Burgundy Superior School of Applied Art (ÉSAAB); a MA in social design at the Insitu Lab and a MA in critical/speculative design at the Icelandic University of the Arts.

 

Elín Margot creates unique artefacts and experiences that question our present society and explore alternative futures.

By designing and displaying real elements of a fiction, she calls on the audience's judgment and hopes to create debates on current human and non-human systems. In parallel to her studio practice, Elín Margot runs the sustainable design festival RUSL FEST and the creative food platform MÁL/TÍÐ.
