Junk drawers - A study of the organisation of junk drawers and the exaltation of their nature
A junk drawer is a place in each home where objects come together to rest, whether they lie there motionless until needed or until their owner sings them into their last sleep with a cortege to the dumpsters. A rubber band, an old charger and a key to some door somewhere. The junk drawer is often considered to be a defect on the household as it does not follow the rules of its organisation.
The study is a registration of junk drawers. Efforts are made to give people the opportunity to look at this part of the home in a new light, and the question is asked whether there might be some organisation hidden in the mess.
