Whispers of Materiality is an open lecture and will be in Fyrirlestrasalur A in Þverholt 11.

By placing equal importance on narrative and materiality, Dungeon & Design creates mythical objects and installations that defend a romantic vision of modernity, in which social phenomena and aesthetics aim to contribute to the preservation of an imaginary heritage.

At times alternative and marginalized, at times rooted in ancient and forgotten craftsmanship, the studio aims to diffuse stories through the intimacy of materials.

Pauline Rip (French-Dutch) and Jonas Hejduk (French-Polish) followed each other throughout their design studies (BA Gerrit Rietveld Academie / MA Design Academy Eindhoven) to finally set up their practice in the Netherlands.

Together they have exhibited among other places at the Villa Noailles, the Dutch Design Week, the Salone de Mobile, the Venice Design Biennale, the Taiwan Design Museum or the Watermark Gallery in Seoul...and has been featured in media such as Etapes, DAMN or Dezeen...
