Í fyrsta föstudagsfyrirlestri ársins munu Rachel Beetz, Dustin Donahue og Jennifer Bewerse fjalla um flutning sinn á verkum sem skrifuð eru í opnum formum (e. open scores) og leika fyrir áheyrendum tónlist sem veitir innsýn inn í þessa tegund verka.
Rachel Beetz, flautuleikari, hefur tekið þátt í fjölda tónlistarhátíða og má þar nefna XI Festival Internacional de Músiva Nueva í Monterrey, Mexíkó, Ojai Festival í Kaliforníu og Los Angeles’ Monday Evening Concerts. Dustin Donahue er slagverksleikari í San Diego þar sem hann er hluti af hópnum red fish blue fish og trio Ensemble Etc. Hann hefur leikið á fjölda tónlistarhátíða, s.s Ojai Music Festival, the Banff Centre, og Festival Internacional Cervantino ásamt Eighth Blackbird, Bang on a Can All-Stars, og International Contemporary Ensemble.
Jennifer Bewerse, sellóleikari, hefur lagt áherslu á flutning samtímatónlistar. Hún er búsett í Los Angeles, CA þar sem hún er meðlimur Southland Ensemble, Autoduplicity, sem er dúó með Rachel Beetz, og Diagenesis Duo ásamt söngkonunni Heather Barnes. Jennifer hefur leikið á tónleikum í Isabella Stuart Gardner Museum, Equilibrium Concert Series, REDCAT, the Center for New Music, SICPP, og Oregon Bach Festival: Composer’s Symposium. Dustin Donahue is a percussionist in San Diego where he performs with the group red fish blue fish and the trio Ensemble Etc. He has appeared at the Ojai Music Festival, the Banff Centre, and the Festival Internacional Cervantino with Eighth Blackbird, the Bang on a Can All-Stars, and the International Contemporary Ensemble.
Jennifer Bewerse is an award-winning cellist and devoted champion of the music of our time. Based in Los Angeles, CA, she is a member of Southland Ensemble, Autoduplicity, a duo with Rachel Beetz, and Diagenesis Duo with vocalist Heather Barnes.
