Sigrún Hrólfsdóttir, dean of the Department of Fine Art will be starting a research leave this coming February 1st, which will run until June 15, 2020. Jóhannes Dagsson, associate professor and programme director in theory, will be serving as the Dean of the Faculty during this period. Bryndís Snæbjörnsdóttir, professor and MA programme director, will also be on research leave during the same period. Bjarki Bragason, associate professor and programme director of BA studies will be taking her position. Sirra Sigrún Sigurðardóttir, will be entering the BA programme in the absence of Bjarki, but she is well known at the department as a part-time teacher and an excellent visual artist.
Autumn 2020 will be in the traditional format, and then Ólöf Nordal, associate professor and programme director of BA studies will return from leave, after concluding her retrospective exhibition at the Reykjavík Art Museum.
