The research project "Polar Bears out of Place" can now be found at a new and impressive website, where the progress of the project can be seen as well as events and results on its behalf.

On the website information can be obtained about the project goals, methodology, project plan and collaborators. The project is funded by The Icelandic Centre for Research for three years (2019-2021) and is led by Bryndís Snæbjörnsdóttir, professor at the Department of Fine Art at IUA and Mark Wilsons, professor at the University of Cumbria.
 
Bryndís Snæbjörnsdóttir is a Professor of Fine Art and the MA programme director at the Iceland University of the Arts. She works collaboratively with the artist Mark Wilson. Their art practice is research based and socially-engaged, exploring issues of history, culture and environment in relation to both humans and non-human animals. Their artworks have been exhibited internationally and they have delivered papers at key conferences in fine art and animal studies worldwide.
