Performing arts students in Vilnus

Our Performing Arts student are currently in Lithuania participating in a weeklong workshop with Norteas on sustainability of the performing arts. The Department of Performing Arts at IUA is leading the   two-year pedagogical project that aims at artistic, professional and societal sustainability of future theatre and performing artists. The project is inspired by the challenge an artist must rise to – how to make meaningful art within the parameters of the professional field, the world around us and our planet and how to interact in an intelligent, resourceful and responsible way with our society in different cultural contexts. Around one hundred students are particpating in this workshop and
work in groups under the guidence of mentors from the Norteas schools. Steinunn Knútsdóttir Dean of the Performing Arts department, Egill Ingibergsson techilmurnical director and Karl Ágúst Þorbergsson program director for perfomance makers are in Vilnius on behalf of IUA.

Here you can see photos from the workshop taken by Stefán Ingvar Vigfússon performance maker.
