Hye Joung Park has been hired as an Adjunct at the Department of Arts Education for the remaining of the school-year where she will be teaching as well as participate in forming visual arts courses and take part in collaborative projects in Iceland and abroad. 
 
Hye Joung Park first came to Iceland as an exchange student in 1997 where she got the opportunity to get to know Icelanders, the language and culture. She has a BA degree in fine art from the Iceland University of the Arts, an MFA degree from Slade School of Art at the University College of Art in London and a diploma in arts education from the Iceland Academy of the Arts as well as having completed a diploma in ceramics from the Reykjavík School of Visual Arts. Hye has worked as an artist in Iceland, UK and South Korea, where she has participated in exhibitions, artists residencies and publications.
 
In addition to her work at the IUA, Hye also teaches at the Reykjavík School of Visual Arts.
