Margrét Elísabet Ólafsdóttir and Thomas Pausz, will be amongst the lecturers at the FEINART Open Conference this Saturday.

A full-day conference conference of the international research network FEINART, will be held in The University of Iceland this Saturday, the 26th of March. The conference is dedicated tocontemporary challenges in socially engaged art practice. The conference is in English and is open to the general public

The aforementioned challenges will be consideredfrom the viewpoints of art and political philosophy, curatorial studies and art management, art and cultural theory, confronting questions on democracy, social and cultural policy as well as new forms of artistic and curatorial practice.

Keynote speaker is political theorist Oliver Marchart, and other lecturers include Mirwan Andanand Ajeng N Aini, membersof art collective ruangrupaand curators of documenta 15, Fatin Fahrat,founding director of Palestine Observatory of Cultural Policy, art theoristMargrét Elísabet Ólafsdóttir, and artist and designer Thomas Pausz.
