Carl Boutard, Assistant Professor at the Department of Fine Art, recently revealed a new public sculpture in Åkeshov in Stockholm.

The work, titled Mo(der)nism, is made up of three site-specific sculptures in Åkeshov. It's made out of colorfully varnished stainless stell and is placed at the entrance of the Swim and Sports Center in Åkeshov. We want to congratulate Carl Boutard and the Åkeshov society.

Carl Boutard’s artistic practice has been shaped by his constant longing for the outdoors. His mediums are drawing and sculpture and the work he does often reflects on the relationship between human beings, nature and culture. A recurring theme is that which is about to disappear, that which possesses aura and authenticity, both visually and from the point of view of content.
