This is not a toy

Toys have a very traditional role, whether ideologically , historically or for economic productivity. Play, on the other hand, is unpredictable, open and untamed. In this project,  three established toys are deconstructed in order to be recreated. The designer hopes to find new meanings in the toys, which have been charged with too much market-driven value for decades. The toys have a blurry purpose now that their original function has been distorted. This is a certain contradiction to the restrictive roles that can be seen in the world of toys; The Rocking Horse, The Baby Doll and The Building Blocks. They now place a greater emphasis on imaginative and creative play, both for adults and children.
