Movement in time

The water falling from the skies surrounds Þyrilsnes, flowing down in a continuous cycle without beginning or end. Water is both a part of the human body as well as the earth itself. The architectural intervention is a journey through the landscape of Þyrilsnes where experiences in time and space rejuvenate the visitor via water, the earth and the sky. A striking axis leads the visitor from below ground and slowly moves upwards. And by moving closer to heaven, the visitor’s body is allowed space to connect with its essence. All the senses are activated through the experience that flows through the body.
