Three dimensional paper art like pop-up books provide a unique experience that the digital medium can‘t replicate. As children we are fascinated by this phenomenon and for some of us, such works continue to be just as enthralling when we have reached adulthood.

This piece is based on a short story from a collection by Oscar Wilde written for his sons. The collection contains parables that speak of the inner character of people, sacrifices and to appreciate the true valuables of the world and of the people with whom we share it.

Wilde is a role model for the author who believes his works have full relevance in contemporary times.
