Modus Operandi: Digital Alchemy

The alchemists of the middle ages paved the way for modern chemistry through their relentless experimentation and documentation of the elements. Their search for the philosopher’s stone was the basis of a fully realised understanding on the inner workings and behaviours of chemical reactions. Modern technological innovation has opened the doors to yet another realm of elements with 3D rendering programmes, where the user has full control over all aspects of the elements - an ability that alchemists desperately sought. The possibilities of the realm of 3D elements is yet to be fully realised. In Modus Operandi the workflow of alchemists of the middle ages is applied to modern 3D programming in the form of digital alchemy.
