General instructions about applications

All applications go through the application portal and all communication regarding your application will go through that portal.

Application fee is paid in the last step of the electronic application. More info about the IUA fees HERE.

Enrolled and graduated students that already have an account in Ugla, still need to create an account for the application portal when a new application is created.

The application portal can be found here: https://ugla.lhi.is/namsumsoknir/

Applicants are asked to monitor their applications in the portal regularly.

It is important to hand in confirmed copies of diplomas (a photocopy will not work) with a stamp from applicant's school and/or confirmed overview of all finished units for relevant institution.
Applicants that have access to Inna (information system for secondary schools in Iceland) can grant IUA access to get their electronic diplomas from Inna.

Accepted applicants pay confirmation fee through the portal and will thereby be registered to selected program automatically.
