The School on Kotferjutún has facilities for education, research, and processing of local raw materials, using traditional methods.

Practices from the past are at risk of being forgotten, and a part of our cultural heritage lost. The school is an environment where it is possible to learn from the past using raw materials from the surrounding environment.

In Kotferjutún you can find forestry, lyme grass, salmon, and eider down.

Wool is obtained from the surrounding environment along with agricultural products such as fish, meat, milk, and dulse.
