Solo Show: Hákon Bragason

Hákon Bragason will open a solo exhibition in Hulduland at the Department of Fine Art, Laugarnesvegur 91 on the 28^th of November at 5pm. The exhibition is a part of a series of solo shows by 3rd year students in Fine Art.

8 Corners & More Lines

If you stand in one corner and look at another, the corner furthest away in meters feels closer in mind. The same can be said when talking to a person on the phone, the person feels closer to you than the phone.

Replace the phone with a measuring tape, and you can measure the distance between you and all the corners, locating yourself in space with 8 or more lines.

From October 4th to November 29th a series of 24 solo shows by 3rd year students in Fine Art will be taking place in Laugarnes.

Each Thursday, solo exhibitions will be opened at three different locations in Laugarnes: Navel, in the middle of the building, The Cube on 2nd floor and Hulduland which is located on the north side of the building. Openings are from 17:00 - 19:00. The student's solo shows are a part of the seminar Professor's workshops in the supervision of Hekla Dögg Jónsdóttir accompanied by teachers Unnar Örn and Sindri Leifsson.
