Gerdy

Gerdy is about a young woman living between reality and fantasy. The film resembles as a personal diary leading the viewer through a supernatural experience. Images strike through as somewhat surreal and personal, embarking the complex ideas for perfection and the idea of femininity. She is an in-depth insight on a particular type of woman that despite her background and beliefs, could be someone whom others can identify with. Relating to a strive for type of virtue that doesn’t exist.

“If I could go back to a time, when I was just a girl. Someone careless and unbothered...
...yet since I could remember, I follow a path that is not my own.
Tired of longing to be someone different,
someone with a charmful, round face...
She knows how to be the epitome of femininity. She knows how to be everything.”
