Lovísa Elísabet Sigrúnardóttir (Lay Low) gives a lecture on her music at the music department of Iceland University of the Arts, Friday, May 4th from 3pm - 5pm.  The lecture takes place in hall 633 at Skipholt 31, 105 Reykjavík. Free entrance - everybody welcome. The lecture is in Icelandic.

Lovísa Elísabet Sigrúnardóttir (Lay Low) began playing all kinds of instruments at an early age. She's been active as a soloist, publishing her music and performing at concerts around the world as well as being a member of the band Benny Crespo's Gang for more than a decade. Lovísa composed music to the play Driving Lessons by Paula Vogel, staged at the Theatre Company of Akureyri (Leikfélag Akureyrar) in 2007 and was awarded the Gríma award for the music.  Lovísa composed music for the movies Kóngavegur 7 (movie by Valdís Óskarsdóttir) og the documentary Hvað er svona merkilegt við það on feminist political experiment in Iceland. Lovísa played a part in the movie Desember and her music has been a part of TV shows like  Grey’s Anatomy, Damages, Heart of Dixie and Queen Sugar.
