On Friday the 8th of February at 1PM an open lecture by Anna Guðjónsdóttir will be held at the Iceland University of the Arts, Laugarnesvegur 91.

Anna Guðjónsdóttir is going to talk about her works, her developement as an artist in the context of art and culture but also seen through the glasses of her own philosophy.

Anna Guðjónsdóttir (b. 1958) was born and raised in Reykjavík, Iceland. After studying in the sculpting department of The Icelandic College of Art and Crafts for two years, she moved to Germany to study at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg, graduating in 1992. She has received numerous awards for her work, both in Iceland and abroad. She has held exhibitions internationally. Her solo-show „pars pro toto“ in Reykjavík Artmuseum-Hafnarhús opend February 21st and will be on till May 19th. She currently lives and works in Hamburg.

Open lectures in Laugarnes will take place in the fall of 2018, hosted by Departments of Art Education, Fine Art and Performing Arts.
