On Friday the 10th of February at 13:00 an open lecture by Anna Hrund Másdóttir will be held at the department of fine art, Laugarnesvegur 91.

Anna Hrund searches for art in her closest surroundings and tries to combine the subconscious and meditation with concrete things. She takes things from the landscape, stores them and transports them between homes and continents. She dissects them and rearranges, and brings us a rod – a representation of discoveries from the real world. In the lecture she will talk about her work and process as well as the ideas surrounding her ongoing show fantastic souvenirs at Gallery-D of Reykjavik Art Museum.

Anna Hrund (b. 1981) lives and works in Los Angeles and Reykjavík. She studied art at Iceland Academy of the Arts, Mountain School of Art and graduated MFA from California Institute of the Arts in 2016. She is also a member of Kling & Bang.

The lecture will be held in icelandic and are open to all.
