The seaweed, in collaboration with Product Design Students second year, present Emocean, aðgát skal höfð í nærværu sjávar.

The exhibition will be open from 5 -7 PM next Friday September 24th at the Iceland University of the Arts, Þverholt 11.

The seaweed plays a lead role in an exhibition where the students have over the last three weeks given it tools to move, sound and take on new shapes.

The exhibiton consists of work from students through a project called Emotional Material, in this case, seaweed.

The assignment was given in the course Ideas and Technology which is an introduction to the world of maker culture, looking to deepen the student's design and manufacturing skill-set at the beginning of the second year. It offers students the opportunity to use basic electronics and coding alongside new fabrication technologies to create simple prototypes of small machines.
