"For me, stuying at the Iceland University of the Arts was a key. Not a key that opens only one door, but a key that opened my eyes to the unprecedented possibilities that surround my environment as a musician. I learned how to work in situations where the final goal or outcome was not obvious at all, got to know people with different views on life and the arts, and managed to master my own conviction as an artist. We do not graduate with a key to one single work but the knowledge that we create our own opportunities and the tool-kit ready at hand.
Since I graduated I have been working on music from various sides; as a singer, performer, composer, I've designed and directed my own music workshops, taught at music schools, made my own radio programs for children, guided people around our music hall Harpa ... but also prepared dinner for hungry tourists. Beacause life and art lead you to all kinds of destinations."
