DAMA - the singing body
Samtímadansbraut Listaháskólans er gestgjafi DAMA vinnusmiðjunnar vorið 2017.
Melkorka Sigríður Magnúsdóttir danshöfundur/söngkona og Árni Rúnar Hlöðversson tónlistarmaður leiða smiðjuna en þau starfa saman sem Milkywhale. Þau munu rannsaka ásamt hópnum hreyfingu og hljóð undir formerkjum The singing Body.
What does it mean to be a part of a group and how does it affect the embodiment of sound and movement? Instead of individuals, together we'll find which rhythm fits us the best, which voice is unanimous for us all and which sound describes the whole. After an initial introduction and presentation of theme and methods the participants will be divided into groups where they'll work on tasks such as text generating, sound and voice choirs, movement and music related to trance dance and "one body" ideas.
Can we make feelings and sound travel horizontally between bodies instead of within oneself? Can a one person’s sound become another one's movement? Can a video be an extension of a singing body?
Nemendur á örðu ári á samtímadansbraut taka þátt auk 9 nemenda sem koma frá 4 öðrum Evrópulöndum.
Unnið verður í hópum og verður afraksturinn sýndur í lok vinnusmiðjunnar í opnum tíma sem auglýstur verður þegar nær dregur.
