The exhibition Vital Exho opened November 17th in Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin. It's curated by Christoph Tannert and is a celebration of the artist Bernd Koperling. Kristján Steingrímur, former dean at the fine art department, is among the 12 former students of Koberling that are exhibited along with him. The artists were selected from a group of 100 students of Koberling and he was a professor for 30 years at the art academies of Frankfurt, Hamburg and Berlin.
Bernd Koberling is a renowned german artist with a strong connection to Iceland and his works are largely inspired by Icelandic nature. Kristján Steingrímur was his student from 1983 to 1987 in Hamburg. Künstlerhaus Bethanien released an extensive catalouge in relation to the exhibition.
