'Feedback' aðferð DasArts - hvernig deilum við þekkingu okkar og sérfræðikunnáttu?

The DasArts Feedback Method - how do we share our knowledge and expertise?

(english below)

On Monday the 14th of November Manolis Tsipos an expert from the master’s program at the DasArts in Amsterdam have an open lecture at the Iceland Academy of the Arts in collaboration with the Reykjavík Dance Festival. The aim of the workshop is to introduce and try out a feedback method that has been developed at DasArts for students/professionals in art and design.

DasArts’ central aims for those feedback situations are: to empower the artist who is getting feedback on his or her work, to go beyond the pronouncement of judgments, to allow fundamental

criticism, to create a sense of (self-) discipline for the sake of precision and clarity, and, last but not least, to increase the enjoyment of giving and receiving feedback.

Manolis Tsipos (Athens, 1979) is a performance maker, performer and writer, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. His performances oscillate between theatre, dance and visual arts, challenging the limits of choreography.

During his stay Tsipos will lead workshops with teachers at the IAA.

The lecture is open to the public, admission is free.
