Center for Research in Music (CRiM) proudly presents musician and professor at University of California, San Diego, Anthony Burr as an artist in residence February 6-9 2018. Burr will give a lecture and lead workshops where physicality as subject and visual presentation of music will be explored; Music Beyond Music.

The lecture and workshops are open to the public and will take place at the Iceland Academy of Art’s Music Department, Skipholt 31, room #637 the following days:

Tuesday February 6 at 1-2.40PM

Friday February 9 at 10.45-12.15PM Hugarflug Conference: Performances and seminar in Laugarnes.

The results will be presented at IAA annual research conference Hugarflug, Laugarnes where Zusammen i (2014)by Jennifer Walshe and a new piece by the group of performers lead by Anthony Burr and Berglind Tómasdóttir will be performed. Furthermore Anthony Burr and Berglind Tómasdóttir will give presentations on music beyond music, see abstracts below. Facilitator: Elísabet Indra Ragnarsdóttir.
