María Oddný Sigurðardóttir: Graduate concert

You are invited to the graduate concert of María Oddný on May 16th at 9pm at Tjarnarbíó.  María has for the last three years been studying Creative Music Communication at the music department of the Iceland University of the Arts. 

The music, performed at the concert, is composed by María and her colleague, composer Friðrik Margrétar-Guðmundsson.  The project is called Therapy, the music being inspired by feelings and mental issues; María herself has been very open about her healt and the lyrics are inspired by her well-being. 

As a musician she finds it interesting to be able to get to know more musicians that have been dealing with similar issues and how music affects them, both in a positive and a negative way. 

Alongside the music creation María has been interviewing musicians that have been dealing with anxiety and depression. These interviews will be published after the concert.
