Fataiðnaðurinn er annar mest mengandi iðnaður í heimi á eftir olíuiðnaði. Likka er fatamerki sem leggur áherslu á ábyrga og hóflega fataeign og er samstarfsverkefni höfundar við Júlíönnu Hafberg fatahönnuð. Markmið verksins er að búa til umgjörð utan um fatamerkið ásamt því að vekja athygli á hvernig fataeign hefur breyst yfir í fataneyslu á síðustu árum og beina sjónum að áhrifum þeirrar neyslu á umhverfið.

Tilgangur verksins er því einnig að fá fólk til að hugsa betur um fötin sín og láta þau endast því endingargóður fatnaður hefur minni skaðleg áhrif á umhverfið en fatnaður með stuttan líftíma.

The fashion industry is the second most polluting industry in the world today. Likka is a clothing label that promotes responsible and moderate clothing possession, and is done in collaboration with fashion designer Júlíanna Hafberg. The purpose is to brand the clothing label as well as raise awareness of how clothing possession has developed into clothing consumption over the past years, and its effects on the environment.

The goal is to encourage people take better care of their clothes so that they last longer, because durable clothes have a less polluting impact on the environment.
